Little Crumbs of Inspiration!
...a bit of ErVin's story told by himself
“You… join me as I take you through my life journey and into the enchanting world of Little Crumbs, an LGBTQ+ organisation.
I, ErVin, your charismatic Colombian-British adventurer, known for my warm hugs, my scratchy karaoke voice, and hips that dance at the sound of a Shakira song. Raised on a farm in Santander, Colombia, surrounded by endless fields of pineapples, one could say I was practically raised on piña coladas!
Despite my innocent and rural upbringing, my dreams were boundless. Inspired by my mum’s belief in the power of education, I completed my degree in Economics in Colombia before embarking on a journey of work and travel in the United States. However, upon returning to Colombia, I felt like I didn’t belong there anymore. Armed with little more than optimism and a passport, I set sail for London, where I enrolled in an English language school. Fast forward a few years, I achieved a Master of Business Administration and most recently, a CIMA accountancy qualification.
I now work as an Accountant. But there’s more to me than just numbers and spreadsheets. This year, I’ve turned a dream into reality. I’m not referring to my yet-to-be-successful ErVin Time YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram channels, but rather to my own charity: Little Crumbs. Having first-hand experience with the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in rural areas, where acceptance is rare and vulnerability is high, I founded Little Crumbs with a dedication to supporting education in rural Colombia.
Through Little Crumbs, we offer financial aid to isolated LGBTQ+ communities, empowering them to pursue their studies and dreams. Formal education was my own ticket to happiness and my shield against discrimination. Education was my lifeline, and now I’m determined to extend that lifeline to others, because every little crumb of knowledge leads to a big, beautiful future!
Thank you for reading till the end and learn more about this initiative. Please consider making a donation, every little crumb counts. Gracias and thank you all very much for your support!” ErVin
